Here’s why:
1. It’s simple to do. Not easy, since it requires lots of cuts and measuring, but simple. You don’t need a ton of skill to do it. I find it easier than wallpapering!

2. Molding and trim elevate the look of a room with visual interest and detail, and make it feel more expensive and custom.

3. Traditional design is in! And it’ll be here for a while. This is a good way to embrace a trend that also happens to be timeless.

4. It doesn’t cost a fortune. I use PVC trim that costs about $11/ 8 ft length.

We made the decision to go to Europe earlier this

We made the decision to go to Europe earlier this year, with the goal of ending in Switzerland to meet up with my in-laws for a few days while they were there. Initially, I was determined to start the trip in Paris because it’s my favorite ... but then, I remembered 60% of my family hates nothing more than eating a meal in a restaurant and would 100% find a way to destroy the Mona Lisa if left unattended in the Louvre.

On to plan B. Mark’s childhood friend, @ngreytravels , is an experienced world traveler who happened to be in CT on a pizza tour of the northeastern US (actually) at the exact same time we were thinking about this trip. Thankfully, he stopped by on his way to Sally’s, and gave us insight on how to do Europe in a way that made sense for three feral children. The result was a trip I couldn’t have planned in my wildest dreams. I had no idea half of these places even existed in the spring, but now they will always be a special part of our family story. We only had to evacuate from one location early (Colmar, France) because it was too civilized for us, but the rest of the places we went got a 10/10 in the area of wearing our kids out. I got a bunch of DMs for the itinerary, which I will share on my site soon. But, if you’re looking for the short and sweet version, we did:
JFK->Zurich
Colmar, France
Black Forest, Germany
Lake Constance (Bondensee), Germany
Interlaken, Swtizerland (incl. Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Thun and Grindelwald)
Zermatt, Switzerland
Annecy, France (wtih a stop in Chamonix, France)
Geneva->JFK

I tried to buy a different set of these chairs on FB marketplace about a month ago and the guy stood me up, but then I found these this weekend for less than half of what the other seller wanted and they’re in better shape so in yo face.
