Cozy Earth Bamboo Duvet Cover Review: Is It Worth It?
I tend to be little skeptical of viral brands because are any of them really as good as people say they are? But when I started hearing the hype about the Cozy Earth duvet cover, I put it on my wish list immediately. I’ve had the Cozy Earth sheets for about a year now, and they are by far the best sheets I’ve ever slept on, so I was pretty sure the duvet cover would be the same.
Spoiler alert: It is.
I ordered the duvet cover (Classic Stripe in Laurel) in March so I could swap it with my heavier one when the weather started warming up. When it arrived, it was so smooth and pristine-looking I almost didn’t want to wash before I put it on the bed, because bamboo fabrics tend to wrinkle easily. But, I realized that would be gross, threw it in the laundry, and just made it a point to pull it out of the dryer as soon as the cycle ended.

It actually came out beautifully, and was softer than when I threw it in.
As far as duvet covers go, this one wasn’t all that hard to put on. For one, it’s super lightweight (I’ll talk more about that in a minute), and it also has multiple corner snaps that ensure it stays in place, and a zipper at the bottom that makes it easy to close (I always prefer zippers over buttons or ties).
Sleeping with this blanket the first night was an actual dream. The softness is next level. It’s made from 100% bamboo viscose and has the same silky, buttery feel as the sheets.

My favorite part of the whole duvet cover experience, though, isn’t actually how soft it is. It’s how lightweight and breathable it is. I’ve had a lot of duvet covers that are soft, but none that are this lightweight. You know how, when you put on some duvet covers the whole blanket gets super heavy? This cover doesn’t do that. It doesn’t add a ton of heft, but it does add a ton of coziness.
This blanket is also a dream for people who sleep hot [hello, it’s me]. The bamboo fabric is naturally temperature-regulating, so it feels cool and airy without being thin or flimsy. It’s the kind of cover you can use year-round without overheating.

Overall, this blanket scores a 10/10 from me in terms of comfort. My 10-year-old also climbed into my bed a few days after we bought it and immediately said, “You need to get me one of these blankets,” which I think is the highest possible endorsement.
A few other things to note about the Cozy Earth Bamboo Duvet Cover:
There’s a good, but simple, color selection. There’s a neutral for everybody: White, Oat, Creme, Driftwood, Light Grey, Dove Grey, Charcoal, and Walnut, along with some softer-color selections in pale green, blue and pink. There are also striped options, which I went for, including the classic stripe in Pacific, Laurel, and Ebony, plus Baja Stripe in Laurel and Maple.
It doesn’t come with pillow cases. I didn’t realize that the duvet cover didn’t come with pillow cases until I got it. It ended up being fine, because I usually just use white pillow cases anyway, but good to know if you want matched pillow covers.
It’s wrinkly. I mentioned this, but bamboo fabric is prone to creasing and wrinkles. Pulling it out of the dryer promptly helps, and I don’t find it gets quite as wrinkled as the sheets, probably because I’m not sleeping directly on top of it. The wrinkles are worth it to me for the comfort level, but if you really prefer a crisp-looking duvet, you might be peeved by the wrinkles.
Overall, if you loved the Cozy Earth sheets, the duvet cover is a natural next step. It has the same signature feel, and now my whole bed is one cohesive cloud of bamboo softness. To me, this one is definitely worth it.
