Each year it seems like we tick one item off the list for our home’s exterior. A couple of years ago we did the siding. Last year we got a new shed (after ours was crushed by a falling tree, but that’s a story for another time), and this year, we’ve been toying with putting in a patio behind the house. Our house has a gorgeous side porch, but there’s no deck or patio in the back.

One of the reasons I really want this space is to set up an iron dining set with string lights so I can work outside during the day and entertain at night … but also so I can take advantage of all of the gorgeous patio umbrellas that are out there right now. There are so many goods ones at every price point.

I feel like a pretty patio umbrella just raises the bar for any outdoor setup. It sort of completes the look and ties everything together. So, in the hopes of manifesting my patio dreams, here’s a roundup of the patio umbrellas I have my eye on right now…
