Both brands make top-of-the-line luxury bedding (with similar luxury price points to match) and I own and love sheets and duvet covers from each one. The types of sheets each brand is known for, though, is completely different, so once you understand what type of bedding you’re looking for, you’ll know whether to choose Cozy Earth or Boll & Branch for your next bedding purchase.

Cozy Earth and Boll & Branch are both super popular bedding brands right now, but they’re popular for different reasons.
Cozy Earth has blown up in the last 10 years thanks to endorsements from both Oprah and the Kardashians (NBD), specifically around their bamboo viscose sheets. While Cozy Earth sells other types of sheets, like cotton and silk, the bamboo sheets are the reason people love the brand. Bamboo sheets are a specific feel (which I will get to minute) so if that’s what you want, Cozy Earth is your brand.
Boll & Branch, on the other hand, is best-know for their cotton sateen and cotton percale sheets. Again, they do other things, like linen, but their original cotton percale and signature cotton sateen sheets are their specialty.
Whichever you choose, you’re going to get high-quality, long-lasting, incredibly comfortable sheets, but the feeling is different, and it comes down to material. It really depends on your personal preference. So, which one should you pick?
Bamboo vs. Cotton Sheets: Which Is Right for You?
I always thought I was a cotton-sheets-only gal, until I tried Cozy Earth’s bamboo sheets. I still love cotton, too, but Cozy Earth’s bamboo sheets are my favorite at the moment. (I’ve tried other brands’ bamboo sheets and they aren’t quite as delightful, in case you’re wondering.)
I love Cozy Earthโs bamboo sheets because theyโre incredibly lightweight, cooling and softโprobably the softest sheets Iโve ever slept on. I tend to sleep hot, so I appreciate that they never feel thick or heavy. They are definitely a silkier feel than a cotton sheet, which is something I was worried about when I first got them, because I don’t like the “slick” feel of a polyester sheets, but I actually love it.
One thing to note about bamboo sheets in general: They wrinkle very easily, and are definitely more wrinkle-prone than cotton sheets. You’ll need to be diligent about taking them out of the dryer right after you wash them, and even so, they won’t ever be perfectly neat. I don’t mind this, but if you do, it’s something to consider.
Boll & Branch’s cotton sheets, on the other hand, are wonderful in a different way. For reference, I’ve tried both the Signature Hemmed Cotton, which is a sateen, and the Hemmed Cotton Percale. The cotton sateen is a slightly softer, silkier feel, while the percale is that crisp, hotel-like cotton. Both pairs of Boll & Branch sheets are thicker and are more structured than Cozy Earth’s, but they still feel cooling and they get softer each time you wash them. In terms of overall softness, their Signature Hemmed Cotton sateen sheets sit somewhere in the middle of Cozy Earth’s bamboo and the cotton percale.
