If you’re looking for a green paint color that is versatile and soothing, Sherwin Williams Halcyon Green might just be the one for you. It’s a calming and serene shade with a blue-gray undertone that makes it versatile and chameleon like.

While I haven’t used this shade in my own home yet, this color caught my eye for our primary bedroom refresh after I saw it in the home of Sarah Gibson of Room for Tuesday (see above). Isn’t her space gorgeous?

It’s spa-like vibes make the color a perfect choice for bedrooms, but while I was looking for inspiration images of the color, I also found plenty of instances where Halcyon Green was used around the home, including kitchens, bathrooms and exteriors (keep reading for photos).

Overall, this is a beautiful, mid-tone color that feels fresh and inviting, but if you want to learn more about it, scroll on.

Halcyon Green is a blue-green, mid-tone paint color, which means it’s not too light or too dark.

Sherwin Williams calls the hue as “a muted green that exudes softness and tranquility. Cooled by blue and gray undertones, it’s a wonderful choice for any room where calmness is key.”

As I said, it’s a great pick for bedrooms, but honestly can work in all areas of the home.

Halcyon Green can also work for a range of styles.

Given its blue-green tones, the color is a natural fit for coastal decor schemes, but it also works well in fresh-traditional homes and bright, contemporary spaces, too.

One thing to note about this color is that, like all paint colors that straddle the line between two colors, it’ll look different depending on the room it’s in. You can see in the various images in this post that it goes between a green-blue shade and a gray-green (even a blue-gray), so it’s best to order a sample before committing to the color.

I’ve recently taken to using Samplize peel-and-stick paint samples, which are mess free and you can have overnighted to your home.
